MARK YOUR CALENDARS:
Beginning Saturday, February 6th, 10:30 AM at Stark's house, Book Study: “The Shack”. This is a best-seller written by Wm. Paul Young that "has the potential to do for our generation what John Bunyan's Pilgrim's Progress did for his. (Eugene Peterson). In a world where religion seems to grow increasingly irrelevant THE SHACK wrestles with the timeless question: Where is God in a world so filled with unspeakable pain? The answers Mack gets as he deals with the brutal murder of his daughter, will astound you and perhaps transform you as much as it did him. Book Study mornings will conclude with soup and bring-your-own sandwich [soup supplied]. Informal round-table discussion - aim: two chapters a week - [10 weeks]. Everybody welcome. The date and time are not carved in stone, but it's a starting time! You will need to purchase a copy of the book ($15.99) so please let Bob and Myrna know if you'd like a copy before January 24th (427-3918 or e-mail

You can support victims of this catastrophe by marking your envelope "Haitian Earthquake Response" and putting in on the offering place. Cheques should be made out to "The United Church of Canada." They will be forwarded by your Treasurer to Financial Services Unit, 3250 Bloor Street West, Suite 300, Toronto, Ontario M8X 2Y4 by the end of the month.
